Former BBC Asian Network DJ Sonnyji's new
fortnightly online radio show 'East Beatz
West' will be syndicated to five UK Asian
radio stations as of 25th May 2013. Two of
these radio networks are regional - Newcastle's
'Spice FM' and Glasgow's 'Awaz FM' - while
the other three are online such as Birmingham's
'Dance Asia FM' and London's 'Luv Asia Radio'
& 'Hot Asia Jamz'.

has signed singer/songwriter ingénue
Sonna Rele to a recording contract with renowned
music label Universal Motown. With intent

known to her family as the Bubble Bath Diva,
has teamed up with Bollywood's award-winning
music producers, Shankar Ehsaan Loy (SEL),
in a thrilling East West pop collaboration
with 'Bollywood Queen' the new track being
released on March 21st 2013. Mumbai-born
Indiraa stormed to prominence in the club
dance scene in 2012.

love song, ‘Hamesha’ (Forever),
based on the 1970s classic love song ‘Always
and Forever’ by Heatwave, on 14th February
2013. He has re-worked the song to give it
a contemporary feel and delivers the lyrics
and vocals in a mixture of Hindi and English.

Jois and Kishan Amin have released their first
track ‘Meri Maa (Vande Mataram)’,
with Rax Timyr Productions, to commemorate
the 63rd year of India’s republic day
on 26th January 2013. The powerful and uplifting
vibe convey a sense of pride about Indian
motherland, the heritage home as British born
Indians. The lyrics of Meri Maa’ were
writing by Mumbai-based writer Sunil Sirvaiya.

tenth Asian Music Awards took place on Thursday
25th October 2012. Bollywood legend Rahat
Fateh Ali Khan led the winners, taking home
three awards for Best-Selling Download, Best
International Act and Best International Act
of the Decade. Brit sensation, Jay Sean was
hot on Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s heels with
two awards for British Artist of the Decade
and Best Male. DJ Neev Spencer (pictured
left) won the 'Best Radio Show' award
for her Kiss 100 programme.
